In the market for a mint condition ReVox deck? How about a B77 (MkI or MkII) refurbed by ReVox themselves

ReVox B77 MkII

The ReVox B77 was a real classic in the world of tape decks, and was also relatively recent compared to some tape vintages. The MkI version was manufactured between 1977-80 and the MkII between 1980-1998.

You can still pick them up on eBay at a variety of prices – and in a variety of conditions, no doubt – but if you want the ‘real deal’ and to be sure that you’re going to get top performance from your deck (not to mention minimal outlay on repairs), then you might want to opt for a version that’s been completely overhauled and refurbished – by ReVox themselves. In other words, in mint condition and as good as new.

The MkI will set you back from 6,600 Euros. The MkII – which adds a built-in motor speed control (Vari-Speed Control) and revised audio and drive electronics – starts at 7,200 Euros.
