If you’re North America-based and thinking about heading to Axpona next month (12-14 April), there are a couple of tape events you might want to check out.
Either way, it’s great to see tape featuring so highly in one of the world’s biggest audio shows. That can only be a good thing for the ongoing growth of all things R2R, right?
Here’s what’s going down. Both events are on Friday 12th April:
Tape: The Once and Future Medium?
A panel explores all aspects of analog magnetic audio tape, from designing and building the recorders and electronics, to producing recordings on tape, and journalistically exploring tape’s history and future.
The panel members are:

Back to the Future with RTM Tapes
Recording The Masters will talk about the company’s 100 year history in magnetic tape manufacturing, present products that continue to push the boundaries of analogue recording and discuss current market trends in reel-to-reel tape worldwide.
