Not long to go now till the folks at the R2R rambler make our debut at the UK’s Hi-Fi Show Live in Ascot on 26th & 27th October! We’ve got a stellar line-up of open reel treats planned for you – from vintage and brand new decks, to international audiophile record labels, to Ken Kessler off the leash and in the flesh.
Plus an exciting last-minute announcement… internationally renowned American jazz singer Lyn Stanley will be joining us too!
Lyn Stanley is a recording artist with a difference: she focuses entirely on making audiophile quality albums, including many on open reel tape as two-channel, one-to-one master copies. She also works with the best of the best collaborators: each album features a roll-call of superb, top-flight session musicians, while mixing and mastering are handled by the likes of Al Schmitt and Bernie Grundman (who have normally reserved their uber-talents for the likes of Frank Sinatra and Joni Mitchell!). Lyn will be playing some her of tapes, chatting about her commitment to audiophile-quality recordings, and hopefully letting us into one or two secrets from the recording studio!
