If you’ve been following this blog, you’ll know that there have been some very exciting releases on master tape copy from Italian label Hemiolia Records in recent months – Charles Mingus’ Mingus Ah Um, Getz / Gilberto, Miles Davis’ Kind of Blue and John Coltrane’s Blue Train.
If you’re heading to the Munich High End Show 2023 this weekend, you can hear these incredible tapes for yourselves!
And there’s more… Hemiolia’s next new title will also be on sale and it’s another absolute classic: Chet Baker’s Chet Baker Sings.
They’ll also be announcing the next two titles at the Show, and have kindly given me permission to let you in on the ‘secret’ here. They are:
Bill Evans Trio – Waltz For Debby
Miles Davis – Ascenseur Pour L’échafaud.
The Miles Davis album is one of my all-time faves so I’ll be ordering that one as soon as it’s out – watch this space for a forthcoming review.
